I get a lot of e-mails from people who used to listen to Buffalo Dick years ago.\u00a0 It’s incredibly flattering that they first, remember then second, actually take time to google me.\u00a0 The show was a riot to make and a lot of people had fun listening too.\u00a0\u00a0 Because Buffalo Dick would tell the kids, “It’s time for Mom and Dad to leave the room cuz you’re old pal Buffalo Dick is on the air,” the kids felt like they were getting away with something.\u00a0 The parents were listening because the format of the show reminded them of show’s we would listen to, or watch, when we were kids (only not quite as edgy).\u00a0\u00a0 Either way, the show seemed to work for a large, diverse audience.<\/p>\n
The show was successful due to the clever and funny writing of my brother, Bob Lamb, and in the beginning, with the voice help of Rob Paulsen.\u00a0 Rob gave us “Uncle Max,” “Nick Slick,” “Big Jim Little” and “Thomas with a T.”\u00a0 He left to see how he would do in Hollywood and he did VERY well.\u00a0 Rob became the voice of many of the great cartoons.\u00a0 “Yako” of the Animaniacs; “Pinky” of Pinky & the Brain; The cartoon voice of “The Mask”; “Mr. Opportunity” for Honda and dozens more.<\/p>\n
